CELEBRITY interior designer and television host Kari Whitman is a hot talent, with clients like Emilio Estevez, Jessica Alba and Virginia Madsen among others.

Whitman is currently hosting Designer to the Stars: Kari Whitmanon the WE Network. Each week, she guides her audience through design and renovation of a room in a celebrity home.

She also brings to life her dream of rescuing animals, as the founder of Ace of Hearts, in memory of her 14-year-old American Bulldog, Ace, who she rescued from the pound on the day he was supposed to be put to sleep.

Whitman created and hosts the annual Dog Bowl to heighten awareness of her foundation, with celebrity supporters such as Christian Aguilera, Jewel, Alicia Silverstone and Martin Sheen among others.

Whitman is no stranger to successful television shows as she was the former host of Discovery Channel’s The Dude Room. The series featured Whitman creating cool new living spaces for men.

Before Whitman realized her flare for interior design she had been an actress. She appeared on NYPD Blue, Baywatch, Men at Work, Nash Bridges and X Files.

Her design firm, Kari Whitman Interiors, specializes in residential and commercial projects ranging from luxury condos, estate homes and boutique hotels to large scales residential developments.

Whitman has also developed her own WALLmakeup Paint Color Kit to take the guesswork out of trying to revamp any room. She provides a step by step instructional video as well as color tints, mixing cups, mixing sticks, professional paint brush, and a color-match booklet.

Whitman spends her free time skiing and hiking in her hometown of Boulder, Colo.
